BOWM 2024 Conference

Black Owned Media Weekend returns this June 2024, emphasizing the importance of Black-owned media in the industry and best practices for building a sustainable future.

This conference will bring together Black media owners/publishers for actionable insights tied to business longevity, authentic community-building, resource sharing, and enriching activities related to our history.

This year, we’ll invite guests to indulge in the rich culture and history of Detroit, Michigan. Detroit was one of the main hubs for the Underground Railroad safe houses, and it is also the birthplace of Motown Records and its original office, Hitsville.

Diving into themes of Black storytelling and the Black voice, conference attendees will have an opportunity to explore the history of Black-owned media and the future ahead.
